Hospitality Industry Roundtable

Building a stronger, more connected hospitality sector

On 21 April 2026, SIF brought together leaders from across the local hospitality and tourism sector for an industry Roundtable, chaired by Sharks Group CEO Dino Mezzatesta. The discussion explored key issues including workforce challenges, rising operating costs, transport and accessibility, regulation, visitation and opportunities to better activate the region.

The Roundtable identified opportunities for greater collaboration, including strengthening local workforce pathways, improving connectivity, supporting events and promoting the region. A follow-up Roundtable is scheduled for November 2026 to continue the conversation and build on these connections. We’re also pleased to have since welcomed The Cronulla Sharks as an Industry Member of SIF, further strengthening the connection between local industry and community.
